    Position Summary

     

    With top line annualized revenue of over $40M and programs across DHS and DOS, Tsymmetry is a fast-paced Firm with a strong growth trajectory.  We are looking for a Technical Recruiter who is interested in joining a mid-size Federal Consulting Firm focused on the International Security & Public Safety Sector.   This full-time role will support our HR function with the objective of increasing the candidate pipeline by sourcing candidates, assessing qualifications and positioning candidates appropriately for job opportunities across the Firm.

    Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Technical Recruiter will work closely with Program Managers and the Hiring Managers when filling open (fully funded) or future positions. The Technical Recruiter will also work with our Business Development team to support staffing requirements for new opportunities/proposals.  The ideal candidate will be experienced in sourcing passive and active candidates for a variety of highly technical and business professional positions often requiring government clearances. The typical daily activities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Act as an ambassador for Tsymmetry, discussing the positive aspects of our company’s culture, business approach, and employee benefits as well as pointing out what the key differentiators are between us and our competitors
    • Utilize a mix of job boards, databases, social media, and other tools to find candidates (both passive and active)
    • Work with the proposal team to identify key personnel and potential candidates required for future government contracts
    • Thoroughly screen candidates applying through our candidate application portal and determine their eligibility and suitability for the position
    • Conduct initial and follow up phone screens to vet candidates; if necessary, cross-referencing prospective candidate resume content, e.g., education, clearances, certifications. Follow-up with candidates if additional information or clarification is needed
    • Submit vetted candidates to the Program Managers/Hiring Managers for consideration, and follow-up to get their feedback on next steps
    • Elicit feedback from the hiring managers following all interviews. If a successful match, keep candidate engaged until final hiring decision is made and contingent offer is prepared/approved.
    • Posting positions on job boards and refresh them when needed to elicit additional candidates
    • Participating in job fairs and industry/company functions
    • Researching and recommending job boards and innovative sourcing techniques to the recruitment team
    • Provide departmental reporting to measure and achieve superior candidate quality to leadership team
    • Act as subject matter expert by imparting candidate selection techniques to managers to build high functioning teams
    • Mentor and delegate tasks Recruiting Coordinator including interview scheduling, candidate screening, sourcing and follow ups to maximize and deliver upon Recruiting team metrics

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
    • Requires 6+ years recruiting experience preferably in a government contractor environment with strong emphasis on sourcing in a technical environment
    • Experience overseeing the full recruiting lifecycle including sourcing, screening, to the hiring stage.
    • Experience utilizing, enabling and maximizing applicant tracking systems for optimal collaboration with hiring managers.
    • Strong research skills for hard to find positions, a.k.a. chasing “purple squirrels” with a don’t give up and don’t settle attitude
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, internally driven to meet organizational goals with often quick deadlines
    • Solid understanding of government clearances required.
    • Knowledge of OFCCP requirements pertaining to support complete and accurate candidate tracking to maintain records as required in compliance with applicable laws.
    • Comfortable guiding the candidate selection decision making process to ensure best possible fit
    • Experienced at measuring and reporting on departmental success measures including time to fill, candidate quality and more
    • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills and proven interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

    Supervisory Skills

    This position manages a Recruiting Coordinator.

    Certifications

    SPHR, PHR or SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP preferred
