    Helios HR is seeking to hire a Human Resources Director for a consulting firm located in Arlington, VA. 

     

    The Human Resources Director will be responsible for providing strategic and operational human resources guidance through the implementation of standard Human Resources best practices and procedures. The Human Resources Director will be responsible for supervising, planning, and providing consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, recruitment and retention, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, employee and labor relations, and position management/classifications.

    Responsibilities

    • Consult with senior management on policies and programs to ensure strategic alignment with business strategies
    • Develops and manages key culture initiatives such as leadership development, talent/performance management, change management, workforce and succession planning, talent acquisition, compensation and incentive strategies, employee and career development, performance management, rewards and recognition and coaching
    • Maintains knowledge of industry trends to ensure company maintains competitive hiring and benefits practices
    • Leads the talent acquisition and the onboarding strategy, interviewing for each open position and identifying effective sources. Builds recruiting brand and value proposition. Efficiently and effectively assists in filling open positions
    • Conducts organizational assessments and develops/drives initiatives to close gaps and implement necessary solutions to ensure a high-performing workforce; provide candid and constructive feedback to leaders about talent moves, gaps, promotions and growth opportunities
    • Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the company’s policies, procedures, information systems and practices on human capital matters
    • Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human capital issues
    • Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values
    • Develops and ensures implementation of goals, projects, policies, procedures, methods and controls in his/her areas of responsibilities
    • Review all areas of human resources to ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements while maintaining a high level of confidentiality with respects to employee information and employee relations.
    • Responsible for all policy and procedure development; identify deficiencies and recommend improvements as needed

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 or more years of experience including 5 years management experience or equivalent work experience
    • Familiarity with Government Contracting required
    • Knowledgeable and capable of performing both operational HR (day-to-day) and strategic HR (implementing process, policy, and systems)
    • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a commitment to completion of project on a timely basis
    • Certified HR Practitioner (or other relevant SHRM Certification), preferred
    • Must be proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Must have advanced technical skills related to setup and use of HR management systems
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
