    Helios HR is looking for a Compensation Consultant to join our team!  We provide human resources consulting services throughout the Washington, DC metro area to a variety of commercial, government contracting, and non-profit clients.  As a Compensation Consultant with Helios HR, you will partner with clients to design compensation solutions and integrate compensation programs into their culture.

    Responsibilities

    The Compensation Consultant will:

    • Develop compensation philosophy statements
    • Evaluate organizational roles to develop job leveling guidelines and document job descriptions
    • Perform compensation benchmarking for a variety of roles across multiple industries
    • Design salary structures 
    • Conduct employee equity analyses and make recommendations on how to approach adjustments
    • Assess FLSA status
    • Develop communication strategies for compensation program implementation
    • Evaluate and design incentive programs and reward & recognition programs
    • Advise on compensation policy best practices and develop salary administration guidelines
    • Conduct executive compensation analyses and make recommendations regarding executive compensation packages 

    Qualifications

    Best qualified candidates will have:

    • At least five (5) years of compensation experience within a fast-paced and high energy setting
    • Experience benchmarking; familiarity with a variety of compensation surveys
    • Strong working knowledge of salary structures and compensation policies and guidelines; 
    • Strong understanding of fundamentals of incentive plans required; experience designing incentive plan preferred
    • Experience with compliance as it relates to compensation components of EEO, and Affirmative Action, including regression analysis
    • Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills a must; ability to effectively present, discuss and make recommendations regarding compensation practices and components with business leaders in a meaningful and effective manner
    • Ability to utilize compensation survey tools and databases preferred
    • Knowledge of total rewards/benefits (a plus)
    • HR certification (a plus)

    They will also be:

    • Detail-oriented
    • Able to quickly build rapport and trusting relationships with business leadership
    • Experienced in developing project plans and managing multiple simultaneous projects within budgets and timelines


    Candidates should have reliable transportation and the flexibility to work in a variety of locations within the Washington, DC metro area
