    Helios HR has recently partnered with our client, one of the world’s foremost transportation and logistics companies, in their search for a Human Resources Business Partner. Based in the Houston, Texas area, the Human Resources Business Partner will provide input towards the talent acquisition strategy as well as support the implementation of the talent management process and plans, support training needs analysis in coordination with talent management, provide input toward succession planning, and implement and execute HR programs. This position will also ensure accurate and compliant administration of HR information and provide guidance and direction to business units as it relates to Human Resources.


    • Participates in the identification of sourcing channels, establish and maintain good working relationships with contacts and selected vendors
    • Conduct interviews and coordinate interview and selection steps between candidate and staff members
    • Oversee the onboarding of new employees in coordination with the new hire’s department and Human Resources team
    • Ensure adherence to recruitment and talent management established guidelines
    • Provide input for succession planning and facilitate the implementation of the succession planning process for the business unit in coordination with Talent Management and Human Resources
    • Support the implementation and execute all Human Resources programs as directed by the Senior VP Human Resources
    • Provide advice and assist the Employee Relations Specialist as needed
    • Ensure accurate and compliant administration of HR information, payroll and/or administrative processes
    • Effectively supports employees and staff members to meet daily requirements/deadlines by addressing inquires, resolving day-to-day work-related issues, and providing technical on the job training
    • Provide advice to teams and projects as well as lead multidisciplinary projects or initiatives in the area of Human Resources


    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or equivalent degree
    • Minimum six years of relevant experience, preferable in commercial shipping, oil and/or logistics
    • Experience working with an international company
    • Experience working in a supervisory/management capacity is preferred
    • Certification in Human Resource is preferred
    • Ability to embrace new technology
    • Ability to provide quality customer service, have a commitment to people, and a passion for human resources
