    Helios HR is excited to partner with our client, an award winning, Small Business Administration (SBA) certified Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) company and certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) providing engineering, analytical, and programmatic expertise to the Federal Government, in their search for a Manager of Information Technology.  This position will not only be the Manager of Information Technology but will also act as Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for our client’s corporate IT system. 

     

    The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the corporate Information Technology operations, including the accreditation of multiple secure IT systems as well as responsibility for daily IT operations at the corporate headquarters including account creation and management, and configuration and management of IT systems. Additionally, the candidate will manage the Information Assurance program as required by various USG requirements documents including (but not limited to): NISPOM, DFARS, JSIG, ICD 503, DAAPM, and associated NIST documents, and create, audit, and maintain corporate IT policies to ensure system security plans are compliant with regulatory guidance. 

     

    This is a high visibility position that will require frequent interaction with senior leadership and reports to the Director of Information Technology and Cyber Security.  This full-time salaried position operates from our corporate headquarters in Alexandria, VA.

    Responsibilities

    • Configure, manage, and maintain our Microsoft Office365 cloud based corporate IT system for compliance with security, corporate policy, and disaster recovery plans
    • Maintain and administer computers and networks for local and non-local users
    • Develop, maintain, and execute IA, IT, and cyber-security policies and procedures.
    • Direct the design, test, configuration, and management of an official security baseline that meets NIST requirements for servers, workstations, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
    • Perform technical security controls assessments and baseline validations of accredited systems to identify vulnerabilities and control deficiencies as part of continuous monitoring program
    • Conduct various actions related to cyber incident response, investigation, and resolution
    • Support the configuration, technical execution, and delivery activities associated with information systems including standalone and networked devices destined for classified use.
    • Interfacing with internal and external customers, program managers, IT staff, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or related field of study; or 8 years of experience in lieu of education.
    • 2+ years of experience in information systems security/information assurance, security engineering.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office365, Azure Active Director, Intune, and Teamviewer is required.
    • Current Top Secret Clearance (required) with SCI Eligibility (preferred)
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
    • Prior ISSO/ISSM or alternate ISSO/ISSM experience is a plus.
    • This position will require the candidate to obtain and maintain an IA Professional certification (e.g. Security+ CE, CISSP, etc.)
    • Professional demeanor, good interpersonal skills, and ability to excel in a high-paced multi-tasked environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to act independently, prioritize tasks, and manage to schedule.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
    • Must have strong problem-solving skills with an ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
    • Experience with computer forensic tools and investigation methodologies is a plus
    • Experience with various information system security assessment/hardening tools - SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, ACAS, Nessus, SECSCN, DISA SRR, Retina, HBSS, etc.
    • Working knowledge of Wide Area and Local Area Networks (WAN/LAN), to include Cisco-based routers, switches, and firewalls.
