    • Basic knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, and materials.
    • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.
    • Knowledgeable of pertinent laws of EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials.
    • Ability and willingness to perform work that requires physical effort.
    • Complies with all safety guidelines when removing or transferring heavy equipment and appliances.
    • Ability to operate hand and power tools and safety practices used in the carpentry trade.
    • Must have mathematical and analytical skills to calculate accurate measurements.
    • Knowledgeable of inventory levels and parts needed to complete tasks and communicates to the manager when there are shortages to allow sufficient time for parts to be ordered and received to complete the task in a timely manner.
    • Effective listening skills to properly diagnose and troubleshoot.
    • Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Ability to clearly document maintenance, complete forms, review manuals, operating instructions, cautionary labels.
    • Complete service requests within company response times and quality expectations.
    • Assists and performs routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks for completion and identifies when a task can be done alone or needs additional help or support.
    • Effective communicator to bridge communication between the manager, vendors and residents (verbal and written).
    • Solution based thinker that delivers cost effective, timely resolution to situations and conflicts as they occur.


    • Work 40 hours per week.
    • Qualified candidate must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and automobile insurance. 
    • This position requires a CFC certification and basic carpentry, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical and HVAC experience. 
    • Ability to respond to emergencies and support call rotation and snow removal efforts.
